We’ve opened and promoted every Giant Eagle store in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana. So when their newest batch of stores in Northeast Ohio faced a major national competitor launch in the same market, they turned to us to continue the momentum of their opening and retain their customer base.

We conceptualized and executed a season-long campaign that featured a series of locally inspired, themed, in-store experiences that were designed to recapture market share, drive foot traffic, and reinforce Giant Eagle’s long-standing commitment to the community.

Branded Experiences included a free ticketed “Buddy Takes the Cake” event featuring TV star and Celebrity Chef Buddy Valastro, Cleveland Browns themed tailgate parties, and events featuring a sampling of locally-made products and attractions. Customized campaign landing pages were created, and events were promoted via in-store sign kits, Facebook event pages, paid digital ads, and through engagement with targeted social media influencers.

The campaign generated a total of over 6M impressions and drove significant foot traffic with thousands of consumers attending the themed store experiences.
